About the event
Once upon a time in the small community of Mansfield, Texas, there was a teacher named Mrs. Z who dreamed of sharing her love of fairytales and the women of the Bible with her community. She had a marvelous idea to host a summer camp that would transport her and her campers into the world of some familiar fairytales.
The second of three summer sessions, they will journey into the land of the beloved fairy tale - Cinderella, as well as explore the connections this classic fairytale has to Ruth in the Bible. Together they will journey with characters Abby and Jonah into the land of Cinderella by reading the second book of the "Whatever After Series".
Each day the campers will:
- listen to Mrs. Z read a few chapters from the book "If the Shoe Fits" (In a fun to listen to way!)
- participate in a small bible study where they will explore who Ruth was, and discuss connections between her and the story/character of Cinderella
- engage in fun crafts, activities, and science related to the world of Cinderella
- eat "fairytale" themed snacks
- interact with special guests including Kid Create Studio, Creature Teacher, and more!!
